The Board of Directors of the Famagusta Tennis Club (OAA), in the meeting of the day. September 6, 2018, decided unanimously to announce the Honorary President of the Cyprus Tennis Federation (OAK) Filio Christodoulou, as an Honorary Member of OAA.

The reasons mentioned in the rationale of the OAA decision are, among others, the special and great contribution of Filios Christodoulou to the sport of Tennis for the last 50 years, and his significant contribution to the reactivation of the Famagusta Refugee Club in Limassol in 1982, after the tragic events of 1974.

In a relevant response to OAA, day. On September 17, 2018, Filios Christodoulou expresses his warm thanks for the honor of being named Honorary Member of OAA, which he interprets as an indication of the long-standing friendship and cooperation for the progress of OAA, especially the first difficult years of exile.
