On the occasion of the TV appearances of the Mayor of Paralimni, Mr. Theodoros Pyrillis, during the festive three days and what he said in public, KEVE feels the need to make the following clarifying announcement:

1) The KEVE does not interfere and does not take part in the procedures for the appointment of Ministers but always respects and cooperates harmoniously with those elected by the President of the Republic of Cyprus exercising his inalienable constitutional right.

2) The Mayor of Paralimni is LIE when he says that "Companies from the Famagusta Free Zone are excluded from any Business Missions organized by the CCCI in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, Commerce & Industry" and when he says that "no company participates in the Missions ".
He is lying because he is well aware that even his partner has participated in the last two KEVE missions in Kuwait and Israel under the Foreign Minister and President of the Republic of Cyprus respectively.

3) It is also FALSE when it says that "there are criteria for selecting participants" because there is no such thing !!!
We call on Mr. Pyrillis to respect his figure because people who hold public office must be very careful and well-informed and certainly avoid being deliberately lied to when making public statements.
Finally, KEVE informs the companies of the Free Area of Famagusta who wish to participate in the Missions that it will organize in 2019 to follow the relevant announcements and the website of KEVE and to declare their participation either through the Local Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Famagusta or directly through KEVE.
