On December 9, our Church celebrates the Conception of Saint Anna, mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary and grandmother of our Jesus Christ.
The Most Ancient Church of Paralimni, the Church of Panagia – Agia Anna which is a 13th century building and is located in the square of Paralimni, where both Churches of Agios Georgios and the Holy Metropolis of Constantia – Famagusta are located.
On Thursday afternoon, December 8, 2022
the Solemn Vespers, the Artoklasia, was celebrated. Before the Dismissal, the wish for childbearing was read to the great-named Theoprimitora Annan.
Afterwards, the Litanization of the Holy Icon of Theoprimitoros Anna took place in the courtyard of the Church.
Tomorrow, Thursday, December 9, 2022, on the day of the feast, Orthros and the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated.
