Th. Pyrillis: The Municipality did not violate the law on cots (AUDIO)

Pyrillis beaches Theodoros Pyrillis, Beds, Beaches

The Mayor of Paralimni, Theodoros Pyrillis, described as untrue, the complaints and grievances expressed in recent days by citizens who visit the beaches of Protaras and complain that beds are placed in the area that should be free to be used by bathers.

In his statements to POLITIS 107.6, Mr. Pyrillis stated that there is no citizen who went to the beach and did not find space to place his umbrellas and things. The Mayor clarified that the Municipality of Paralimni leaves 50% of the beach space free as provided by law, but people usually ask for more beds.

He added that people are free to place their own umbrellas, since the Municipality has left the space free in front of the sea for the citizens.

The Mayor also referred to the issue of pre-renting beds and umbrellas, noting that the beach has 5000 beds and the pre-rented ones correspond to 120.
