The quality upgrade of beach services is necessary, according to the Pancyprian Association of Hoteliers (PASYXE) Famagusta.

In a written statement, the Association "requests that the actions and actions for further upgrade of the beach infrastructure be strengthened and intensified, with the aim of making them another reference point that will be in line with the expectations and requirements of quality tourism". For years, he adds, there has been a discussion about upgrading beach services, about beaches, and even about night beach infrastructure ", noting that" it is time to start, with planning and sparing, the implementation of such enrichment projects.

It is also stated that "the quality vacationer, foreign or local wants, and is willing to pay, for services beyond a plastic bed and umbrella. To be served with drinks and food services, to have modern entertainment services, as well as health and lifeguard protection, to feel that he enjoys an unforgettable and unique experience ".

The national strategy for tourism development, the announcement continues, suggests the adoption of a "premium" model of tourism development for Cyprus. This means that upgraded products, services and especially holiday experiences are needed to attract a larger percentage of "high cost" tourists.

He also notes that "no one opposes the unimpeded access of the people to the beaches, everyone has the right to enjoy the beaches and the marine beauties". However, he continues, "the, in moderation and sparing, utilization of part of the national resources, is a necessary condition for a qualitative upgrade of the tourist experiences of the vacationers of high income, and not only, class".

PASYXE Famagusta also states that "we support and request the acceleration of the plans and the projects of enrichment of the beaches, which are in line with the strategy of upgrading the tourist product. The ultimate goal is of course the improvement of the economy of Cyprus and through it the improvement of the living standard of all citizens ".
