The shooting team of the Sotiras Hunting Association, is the champion of the XNUMXst Provincial Shooting Championship of Famagusta, organized by the Shooting Organization of the Province of Famagusta (SKOEPA), in the international shooting range Paralimantos, while in the Paralympic shooting range.
According to SKOK, the first championship this year included four matches and for each team and athlete they measured the three best results with the system of penalty points (difference in result from the result of the winner in each match). Sotira's team, with two first victories in its assets and three passive penalty points, faced the second team of the Paralimni Hunting Association and cut the thread first, after the Paralimni team collected 5 penalty points. The team of the Frenaros Hunting Association finished in third place with 27 points.
In the individual classification, Petros Ioannou with three first victories and without a penalty point became champion in both the general classification and the sniper category, where Andreas Titigos was second with 2 points and Jason Tziovanis was third with 5 points. Giannos Ioannou, with 8 points, became champion in the A 'category of hunters, while with the same points, Nikolas Papageorgiou finished second and George Papagiannis with 13 points took third place. In the 19nd category of hunters, Christos Kyriakou won with 20 points, one less than the runner-up Nikolas Papageorgiou (22 points), while Kosmas Kapetanios with XNUMX points was ranked third.
In the other categories, Nikos Gorgiou with 15 points won the guest hunters, Georgios Trypiniotis won the veterans with 23 points and the young Modestos Souttos in the juniors with 42 points, while Konstantina Saitti with 72 points, became champion in the women's category.
