The Famagusta Police Department in collaboration with the Department of Community Policing, the Shooting Organization of the Free Area of Famagusta, and the Pancyprian Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PA.SY.KAF) organized a big event for Saturday, Tuesday, 22/10/2016, success, the 3rd Shooting Games, with the slogan "Shooting Life", where the proceeds were donated to support PASYKAF.
The event was put under the auspices of the Chief of Police, Mr. Zacharias Chrysostomou, where he was represented by the Deputy Chief of Police Mr. Andreas Kyriakou and took part in the races.
During the races, the world champions in shooting, Antonis and Panagiota Andreou (father and daughter), Andreas Makris and Giannos Ailiotis, who come from the Famagusta District, demonstrated. This was followed by a demonstration by federal coach Savva Koumasta 5 Dan and self-defense advice was given to the audience. Afterwards, a demonstration was held by the Police Dogs Branch, where they excited the audience and the young children with their skills.
90 snipers took part in the shooting, including the Deputy Chief of Police, the Mayor of Paralimni, where they were awarded honorary diplomas. Also, the winners will be awarded cups in five categories (police, hunters, shooters, teenagers, veterans over 55), in an event scheduled for the next few days.
The event was attended by the Deputy Chief of Police Mr. Andreas Kyriakou, the Police Director of Famagusta, Police Officer Mr. Antonis Papakonstantinou, the Assistant Police Director of Famagusta, Police Officer BT Christakis Oikoumeikos Minister of Police Papadimitriou and other Officers, members and Officers Council Mr. Theodosis Tsiolas, the Mayors of Paralimni, Ayia Napa and Sotira. The event was attended by soldiers, children from the Catholic School of the Holy Temple of Agios Georgios and a large crowd. During the event, street safety material was distributed to the attendees.
