In court 8 people for the fierce clash between bravos with 10 injured in Ayia Napa

A case against eight people for various offenses related to the incident that took place on September 30 in an Ayia Napa club, between security men and foreign officials of the Egyptian investor of the Ayia Napa marina, was filed before the Famagusta District Court.

According to the Police, yesterday cases were filed before the District Court of Famagusta against a total of eight people who work in the club and are related to the incident that took place a few hours before the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of Ayia Napa marina.

Specifically, cases were filed against a 36-year-old from Paralimni and a 25-year-old from Ormidia for the offenses of robbery, grievous bodily harm and assault that causes real bodily harm. The 25-year-old was also charged with theft and practicing guard duty without a license.

Another case was filed against a 29-year-old from Avgorou for hiring a security guard who does not have a license to practice.

Also against 25-year-old from Bulgaria, 27-year-old from Sotira, 25-year-old from Agia Varvara, Nicosia, 24-year-old from Mosfiloti and 28-year-old from Lithuania, cases were registered concerning the offenses of theft, assault without causing real licence to practice profession.

The court ordered everyone to be placed on the stop list and hand over their travel documents.

Also, the 25-year-old from Ormidia was asked to pay a financial guarantee of 3 thousand euros, the 25-year-old from Bulgaria and the 28-year-old from Lithuania a financial guarantee of 500 euros while the others were asked to sign a guarantee of ten thousand euros.

Following the fulfillment of the conditions of the Court, all the suspects were released.

It is recalled that around four in the early hours of September 30, about 30 employees of the Egyptian investor and the construction company of the marina, for an unknown reason, clashed with the security men of the club in Ayia Napa where they went to have fun.

The clash resulted in several people being beaten on both sides, with the result that ten people were injured and taken to the General Hospital of Famagusta, where after being examined by doctors, they were diagnosed with minor injuries, bruises and abrasions on various parts of their bodies.

The injured were given first aid and fired, while there were complaints about the incident to the Police from both sides.
