The School Guide 2015-2016 for Parents and Primary Education Students, the publication of which was announced at the beginning of this school year, was distributed today by the Minister of Education and Culture, Costas Kadis, to the students of the Unified All-Day Primary School in Pefkios Georgiadis.

According to an announcement by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Mr. Kadis, explaining the objectives of the School Guide, said that the School Guide "is an innovation in our education, which highlights the great importance of the role of parents in achieving the goals of education. ».

The aim of the School Guide, he continued, is to facilitate the daily life of parents, by gathering useful information and reminding important dates of this school year, thus enabling parents and guardians to be informed and, consequently, to manage school activities more effectively. needs and responsibilities of their children.

Discussing with the students of the XNUMXth, XNUMXth and XNUMXth grade about the information that, in their opinion, should be included in it, the students spontaneously suggested issues such as the behavior of the students at school, the proper handling of work at home, the school curriculum, environmental education programs, the process of informing parents about their children's progress, etc.

With satisfaction, the Minister of Education informed the students that all the issues mentioned are already included in this year's School Guide and in this context, he invited parents, teachers and students to contribute with their suggestions to the enrichment and improvement of this first edition, so so that the Guide for the next school year 2016-2017 meets even more the needs of parents and students for information.

Mr. Kadis stressed that the School Guide enriches and strengthens the effort made by the Ministry of Education and Culture, to improve and upgrade the public school.

"I am optimistic that the School Guide will become a useful tool for managing school activity and that it will simplify the daily lives of parents and students," he added.

The president of the Pancyprian Confederation of Federations of Primary Education Associations, Maria Savva, for her part, welcomed the publication of the School Guide, describing it as a necessary and useful means of communication and cooperation between the school and the family.

As he said, the cooperation between parents, teachers and the Ministry of Education and Culture can only bring positive results.

According to the Ministry of Education, the distribution of the School Guide to all Public Primary Schools has already started and is expected to be completed within days.
