The Politburo of the Democratic Alarm, which met on Wednesday night (20/9), failed to nominate the candidate for the upcoming municipal elections on December 18. Theodoros Pyrillis and Giorgos Nikolettos will claim the vote of the people of Paralimni without the support of Pindar.

Despite the admittedly successful course of Theodoros Pyrillis in the Municipality of Paralimni, the Democratic Alarm seems to have avoided its support, since in the previous municipal elections of 2011 the current Mayor of Paralimni went to the polls independently and without the support of Pinda's party.

On the other hand, the municipal councilor George Nicolettos, also from the Democratic Alarm, is running as a candidate, claiming the vote of the people of Paralimni.

Announcement of Theodoros Pyrillis:

With full respect and unlimited appreciation to all the citizens of Paralimni, I announce that next December I will reclaim the position of Mayor of Paralimni as an Independent Candidate.

Together with the Municipal Council we worked hard to redress the timeless injustices and marginalization that existed in the Municipality and our Province. Enormous efforts were made for the reorganization of the Municipality and its evolution into an efficient and financially robust Municipality. The direction that the Citizens set five years ago brought equality and equality, success in our claims, fight against corruption and abandonment of old bad mentalities.

Many infrastructure projects have been implemented, several are in progress and others will start in the coming months. I consider the continuation of the work done necessary to exclude the possibility of reversing the mentalities and tactics of the past.

Far from populism and mudslinging, I will continue to work hard and with dedication until the last hour of my term, while at the same time I will inform my associates about the important work that has already been achieved. The citizens will judge and decide freely and democratically, who will lead Paralimni in the next 5 years.
