A sudden death of a tourist from Russia took place yesterday afternoon in a sea area in Protaras.
According to the information of the Police, a 57-year-old visitor from Russia, was pulled unconscious around 5:30 in the afternoon from the sea area of Malama to Kapparis.
She was then transported by ambulance to the Famagusta General Hospital where the doctors on duty determined her death.
Members of the Paralimni Police Station inspected her dead body without detecting any external injuries that raise suspicions of criminal activity.
The causes of her death will be revealed by the legal autopsy on her body that will be performed today at 10:00 in the Mortuary of the Larnaca General Hospital.
The Paralimni Police Station continues the examinations.
