The Famagusta District Court in Paralimni yesterday issued a 6-day detention order against a 24-year-old Russian citizen for assaulting and causing serious bodily harm to a 47-year-old man from Nicosia.
As reported in the Court, the Russian had the suspicion that the Greek Cypriot was harassing his girlfriend with whom he was staying in a hotel in Ayia Napa and attacked him. The clash took place on April 18 and was reported last Wednesday.
The 47-year-old came to the General Hospital of Nicosia for examinations and there it was found the size of the problem he had in his head.
