Work on five development projects continues in Paralimni

In Paralimni, the construction works in the tourist areas of Protaras, Pernera and Kapari continue normally for the execution and completion of five development projects which are in progress.

As the Mayor of Paralimni, Theodoros Pyrillis, stated to KYPE, "at this time, five development projects are underway regarding the creation of a sports hall, the urban road project of Perneras, the upgrade of the Technical School of Paralimni, the new police station A Primary School of Paralimni ".

He added that "the sports hall is in the final stages and will have a capacity of about 600 people for basketball, volleyball and futsal. Construction began in September 2015 with a budget of 1,5 million euros and will be operational in the next two months. Regarding the urban road project of Perneras, the works are progressing at an intensive pace and is expected to be completed in February 2018 ".

Very soon, he continued, "offers will be announced for 1st of April Avenue and the coastal pedestrian street, while the offer for the construction of a new District Court of Famagusta has already been announced. The project for the new Famagusta Police Directorate is proceeding normally and is expected to be delivered by the end of 2018 ".

According to Mr. Pyrillis, "at this time there is expected to be a building orgasm in the Municipality of Paralimni with the construction of new hotel units and the renovation of several others. At the same time, the tourist product of the province of Famagusta will be enriched with new restaurants, cafes and bars ".
