The first session of the Municipal Council of the new five years 2017-2021 will take place on Tuesday, January 3 at 12:00 pm after the ceremony of announcing the new composition of the Municipal Council of Ayia Napa which will take place at the Municipal Palace of Ayia Napa.
The first session will be broadcast live on social media to inform so many citizens and the whole world that is interested in the public of Ayia Napa.
According to a relevant announcement, “the new energy of the Municipality of Ayia Napa is pioneering for all transparency and good administration, which will give both the new Municipal Council the incentives for proper administration and offer to the people of Ayia Napa, but will also give the baton to the citizens to look up to be interested in the meetings of the municipal council. ”
The Mayor stated that the live broadcast of the meetings is only one of the transparency measures that will be implemented and the goal is for all the meetings to be broadcast live. In the next session, proposals will also be submitted for:
1) Publication of minutes
2) Personal list of Members of the Municipal Council by posting the appearances, proposals and participations of each municipal councilor in the meetings of the municipal council and committees so that the citizen can see the productivity of each municipal councilor
3) Linking the remuneration of municipal members according to their participation and productivity
4) The application of a citizens' barometer will be proposed, where every six months the citizens will grade the municipality, the municipal council and its services (eg cleaning, communication, etc.) the barometer will be published.
