Eventually only one will "pay" her for the murder of the Indian student Sarbjit Singh committed in the early hours of January 4 in Deryneia.

On Friday (20/1), the Famagusta District Court referred 21-year-old Taranmeet Singh, also from India, to a direct trial before the Criminal Court, who admitted that he was present during the stabbings that resulted in the tragic death of the unfortunate student.

Taranmeet Singh faces charges of premeditated murder, attempted murder, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, injuries, stabbings, possession of offensive organs and conspiracy to commit a felony.

His case before the Larnaca - Famagusta Criminal Court was set for March 3, when he will be called to answer whether or not he admits the accusations. Until then he will remain in custody.

We remind you that three other young Indians were injured during the stabbings on January 4. Before the crime, the same night, the two groups of Indians who got involved had fun drinking alcohol together. At some point, however, they misunderstood personal issues and the spirits ignited, resulting in the stabbings that unfolded outside an apartment building on Eleftherias Street, where a group of students lived.

As for the two Pakistanis who tried to flee Taranmeet Singh to the occupied areas through the roadblock in Pergamon, they will be held accountable before the Famagusta District Court, facing charges of conspiracy after the crime. Their case is set for January 24. They are also in custody.

They are still looking

Meanwhile, almost two weeks after the names and photos of the other four Indians wanted for the murder of their fellow student were released, the Famagusta Police have not yet been able to locate them and bring them to justice.

Wanted are Rupinderpal Singh, Sarbjit Singh, Kovark Khera and Sanjal Malik, whose traces have been lost. Police are looking to find them mainly in the circles of illegal aliens operating in Nicosia, although the possibility cannot be ruled out that after so many days they have managed to escape to the occupied areas.

The bi-communal Crime Committee is also aware of this case, in an attempt to locate the four wanted persons in case they have already escaped from the occupied territories.
