According to Neophytos Theodosiou, who presented the case to the Court, the three suspects allegedly pressured a witness in a serious criminal case that is being investigated by the Police Headquarters, not to testify in Court. The witness is a person who performed the duties of driver and bodyguard of "Tsikito". According to the Police, the witness gave a voluntary testimony and stated that the three suspects approached him and offered him a sum of half a million euros so that he would not testify as a witness in another case. He also said that he was advised to take the money and leave Cyprus, after first signing a letter assuring that he would not deposit, because as he noted "after Georgiou it would be the next goal".
The witness testified that he had three meetings with the suspects.
In one of the other two cases, which is being investigated by the Headquarters, the driver and guard of "Tsikito" testified against a person against whom a European arrest warrant is pending (according to information from philenews, this case has extensions in a casino operating at the Gate). The witness is expected to testify in this case on March 22.
In addition, the presenter of the case stated that the following offenses are being investigated against the three suspects:
>> Conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor
>> Conspiracy to overthrow the course of Justice and influence witnesses
>> Obstruction of judges and interference in court proceedings.
In addition, the crime of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition is being investigated against one suspect.
It is noted that two other persons are wanted for the case.
