Limassol: Salo has been provoked in the last few hours by a video that is making the rounds of the internet and shows the intense discussion of Evros Dimitriou (known as YouTuber) with two police officers, who stopped him for a check.
The position of the Police is that there is no need for further comment regarding the video that was posted by a citizen on social media and which records his conversation with members of the Police who stopped him for control.
In a statement on the matter, Police Spokesman Andreas Angelidis said that its members have acted under certain circumstances and that the whole issue is being studied.
He said that those who have seen the video can draw their own conclusions and that the whole issue is not worth further comment.
Asked whether the information about criminal prosecution against the specific citizen is true, Mr. Angelidis answered in the negative and reiterated that the members of the Police acted under specific circumstances and in the context of the control carried out by the Traffic Police.
According to philenews in the morning, the person in charge of the traffic, Giannakis Charalambous, the police are investigating a criminal case against the specific person, for recording and publishing the video and for public insult.
He added that the police were applauding the attitude of their colleagues who were cool throughout the incident.
