Traps, sound equipment and seven killed wild birds were found today by the Police in an orchard in Liopetri.
According to the Police, today at dawn, members of the MMAD Poaching Squad, located in operation in a fenced orchard in Liopetri, a sound-producing device for catching wild birds.
The members of MMAD carried out a search in the orchard where prohibited means of catching wild birds were found and confiscated, ie trapping nets and a sound production device. Seven killed wild birds were also found.
The owner of the orchard was summoned to the Police Station, where he was charged in writing and released to be summoned later before a Court.
The case is being investigated by the Xylofagou Police Station.
