A four-day detention order against a 53-year-old woman from Liopetri was issued on Friday by the Famagusta District Court, to facilitate the police investigations into investigated cases of burglary and theft from tourist apartments in Ayia Napa.

According to the Police, after four complaints of tourists concerning ten cases of theft of small amounts from tourist apartments in Ayia Napa, they secured testimony against the 54-year-old, when a person who had turned on his laptop camera, realized that the woman entered in the room and after he opened his wallet he took something from inside and put it in her pocket.

Police arrested the woman on the basis of an arrest warrant, and a search of her home turned up and confiscated a wallet containing 4,145 euros and a large number of foreign banknotes, a second wallet containing 3,620 euros, a nylon bag containing 6,141 euros and 1,350 euros. a purse with 15,256 euros. The total amount found by the Police amounts to XNUMX euros which are believed to be products of theft.

The woman interrogated admitted the offenses, was arrested and detained, while today she was brought before the District Court of Famagusta, which issued a four-day detention order against her.

The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Police Department.
