Ninety students from Famagusta who excelled in the school year 2015-2016 were honored by the Municipality of Famagusta and the School Ephorate of Famagusta, in an event held on Wednesday, December 21, in the "Costas Sofianos" room at the Municipal Building of Agios Legaros
An announcement from the Municipality of Famagusta states that "all students were awarded honorary plaques, while the six students who received the highest overall grade were given a token amount of money from the fund of sponsors, as well as books offered by the Municipality of Famagusta, the School Board and the Cyprus Archbishop ».
Also, within the framework of the event, the School Ephorate presented the series of stamps with stamps of the schools of Famagusta, part of the proceeds from the sale of which were given to the Karaiskakeio Foundation and the Famagusta Autism Support Association.
The mayor of Famagusta, Alexis Galanos, in his greeting congratulated the excellent students of Famagusta and wished that this ceremony would soon take place in Famagusta with children who will graduate from the schools of our beloved city.
