A Russian visitor on holiday in Ayia Napa was arrested last night by the occupying authorities during his visit to occupied Famagusta
According to the Police, last night a 28-year-old visitor from Russia, who lives in Ayia Napa, arrived at the Ayia Napa Police Station and stated that she received a text message on her mobile phone from a 32-year-old friend of hers, also a visitor from Russia, that after his visit to occupied Famagusta and after taking photos in the area, was arrested by the occupying authorities.
According to the complaint, the Russian visitor was arrested at around eight last night.
The United Nations peacekeeping force was notified of the arrest.
