The event organized by the Culture Committee of the Municipality of Sotiras in collaboration with the Sotiras School Ephorate and the Sotiras Church, dedicated to the Three Hierarchs and the Greek Letters, took place on the evening of Tuesday, January 31st.
At the event, Dr. Konstantinos Papagiannis who obtained a doctorate in Mathematics, while the Sotiras School Ephorate honored with a special award the leading graduate students who received a score higher than 19,5 / 20 or 97,5 / 100.
Students who excelled during the last school year 2015-16 and students who achieved student distinctions were also awarded.
The speaker was the Chairman of the Education Service Committee, Mr. Panagiotis Antoniou.
The Mayor Sotiras, Mr. George Takkas, the Elder George Ioannou and the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Member of Parliament DISY Famagusta, Dr. addressed a greeting. Kyriakos Hatzigiannis.
It was preceded by an artistic program with songs by the students-members of the Municipal Volunteer Group Sotira, Grigoria Nikola and Koula Kyriazi, as well as hymns by the cantors of the Church of the Savior.
The program was curated by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Sotira.
