A family tragedy was revealed in Thessaloniki, where a 69-year-old man, according to the first data of the police investigation, killed his 42-year-old daughter and then attempted to end his own life.
The crime came to light yesterday afternoon, when the 42-year-old was found dead by her brother, in the apartment where the woman lived in the area of Sykes. A medical examiner was called to the scene and found asphyxiation injuries on her body.
Looking for her relatives, the police found her 69-year-old father in his apartment in Toumba. He himself had wounds in the abdomen, possibly in his attempt to kill himself. According to the information from the Police, the man was arrested. He was taken to the hospital where he is being treated under guard.
