64% of those arrested at the Greek-Turkish border come from Afghanistan, according to data processed by the Greek authorities. The figures refer to the period from Friday, February 28 until today. Only 4% of those arrested come from Syria.

At 12 o'clock from 06.00 on Thursday morning until 18.00 on Thursday afternoon, in the area of ​​Evros:

- 8 people were arrested. Seven people come from Afghanistan and one from Syria.

- 1.871 attempts to enter Greece illegally were prevented

In total, from 06.00 on Saturday morning until 06.00 on Thursday morning the report is as follows:

- Illegal entry into the country has been prevented in 36.649 cases

- 252 people have been arrested
