An alarm sounded yesterday in Chios, when a woman called the police and reported that her ex-partner was outside her house armed with a carbine and he threatened to kill her.
The police officers of the local department were immediately mobilized, who located the armed man in a municipal street next to the woman's house, in possession of the weapon with four cartridges.
After a relevant negotiation by policemen of the Police Department of Chios, the perpetrator handed over the carbine to the policemen, while a knife with a total length of 27,5 centimeters was also found in his possession.
A search of his home followed, during which they found:
• Knife with a total length of 21 cm,
• Knife with a total length of 24 cm,
• Nylon package that contained a quantity of raw cannabis (hashish) weighing approximately 11 grams and
• High accuracy weight scale
According to alithia.gr, during the further investigation of the case, it emerged that, for the possession of the weapon (carbine), the conditions stipulated by the law were not met.
The rifle, knives, drugs, cartridges and precision scales were seized.
The preliminary investigation work is carried out by the Chios Security Sub-Directorate.
