The imprisoned actor and director Dimitris Lignadis, who is accused of four rape cases, will sit on the bench of the Mixed Jury Court of Athens on February 11, 2022.
The accused is the first actor to be tried, following relevant allegations against him within the #metoo movement.
A few years ago, a referral panel was issued by the Athens Council for Criminal Procedure and according to a statement by the lawyer of the accused Alexis Kougia, D. Lignadis did not file an appeal against the first instance panel, asking for the immediate determination of the case.
