A police officer had a near-serious accident while trying to arrest a burglar.

The incident happened in the early hours of Monday, May 31, when Vangelis Batarlis received a signal from the Emergency Center for the violation of a 2nd floor house by two people. Together with his colleagues, they immediately rushed to the spot and started chasing the two burglars, who as soon as they realized them, tried to escape by all means.

But well-trained police initially managed to arrest one of the two as the second burglar climbed to the roof desperately looking for a way to escape.

And then the unexpected happened, as Vangelis Batarlis says: "The second one was also arrested on the roof of the house with a small unpredictable parenthesis. Due to the age of the house in my attempt to climb, the wall 'left' with me weighing 105 kg in the void and from a height of 10 meters I found myself directly on the uncovered with pieces of wall on me without being killed, except with some fractures in the knees , feet, hands ».

The adventure of this policeman, who almost cost him his life, did not discourage him. "For better or worse, this is why I joined this House, and it is my pleasure to try to rid society of such scum at any personal cost," he said in a Facebook post.
