At the moment, Panagiotakis has managed to stand on his own two feet without any support. "Believe us, this is a miracle."
The little boy will undergo surgery, something that the doctors deemed necessary.
"The child must undergo this operation because the doctors considered it necessary. I believe that he will come out of this ordeal alive ".
The little one undergoes daily examinations and his parents are happy to see his health improve day by day.
"He is very strong, he faces everything with a smile and patience."
The boy is battling type 1 spinal muscle atrophy, he underwent gene therapy in Boston. His family estimates that he will return to Greece in about a month to continue special physiotherapy here.
Little Panagiotis-Raphael had moved the whole of Greece when in a campaign that had been carried out in order to be in Boston for gene treatment, more than three million euros had been raised, exceeding the amount needed.
