Erdogan's arrival in Athens

Mr. Erdogan was welcomed in Greece, as had been announced, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Gerapetritis, who had a short dialogue with the Turkish president.

At the "Eleftherios Venizelos" airport, everything was ready early on for the arrival of the three planes carrying the Turkish president and his entourage with draconian security measures as provided for such cases.

Immediately after his arrival in Greece, Mr. Erdogan will head to the Presidential Palace, where he will meet Katerina Sakellaropoulou, while the ministers who accompany him will be divided into the buildings of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Armed Forces Officers' Club on Rigillis Street for their meetings. with their Greek counterparts.

According to the original schedule - as it is not known whether it will be affected by Erdogan's earlier arrival in Athens - at 12:15 the Turkish president with his entourage will pass the door of the Maximos Palace for his personal meeting with Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the Greek delegation. At approximately 13:00 p.m., according to the schedule, the joint statements of the leaders of Greece and Turkey will take place without questions.

After 13:30 p.m., the lunch is scheduled at the Maximos Palace, which will also be the plenary session of the Supreme Cooperation Council, while by 17:00 p.m. Mr. Erdogan is expected to have left Athens.
