The baby's father was taken to the Orestiada prosecutor's office on Thursday morning, who released him temporarily after his apology. The 22-year-old father apologized for what happened "and claimed that the conditions in which the little girl lived" were satisfactory ". For her part, the 16-year-old mother of the baby will be tried, due to her minority, by a competent court.

According to ERT Orestiada, the prosecutor ruled that the accusation faced by the young father has not been accurately substantiated and will await, on the one hand, the evolution of the little girl's health and, on the other, the findings of the social and other services investigating the circumstances. the incident, but also the environment in which the infant lived, so that, accordingly, he could prosecute, either of a criminal or misdemeanor nature.

The 3,5-month-old girl was transported in a very bad condition to the University General Hospital of Alexandroupolis.
