The unfortunate teacher collapsed in front of the eyes of students and colleagues, when shortly after 7 in the morning he went to school and tried to cut the chain on the door of his occupied school.
He finally could not stand it and the 62-year-old mathematician who was opposed early in the morning died, as soon as he went to the 11th High School in Patras, where he was teaching.
According to newer information from the local media patrastimes.gr, the unfortunate teacher collapsed in front of students and colleagues, when shortly after 7 in the morning he went to school and tried to cut a chain that closed the door, as students had proceeded to occupy.
Although he was immediately transported by EKAB Unit to the General Hospital "Agios Andreas" and despite the efforts of rescuers, eventually the 62-year-old mathematician ended up. The teacher suddenly collapsed on the floor in front of his colleague's surprised eyes. His ambulance was called immediately
EKAB, which picked him up from the spot without him being conscious. At the General State Hospital of Patras "Agios Andreas", where he was transferred, his death was confirmed.
The tragic news fell like lightning in the educational community of Patras. The deceased was reportedly in charge
Environmental Education Program, and together with his students he had decorated the facade of the school complex with mosaics, of his own inspiration.
The school, like most in Patras and the wider region, is closed today, in the context of today's student mobilizations.
