The competent prosecutor recommends that Roula Pispirigou be tried for the deaths of both of her younger children to the Council of Misdemeanors that will judge the case.
The public prosecutor, with his proposal to the judicial council, asks the judges who will judge the case to refer the 34-year-old mother to a trial before the Mixed Jury Court as being responsible for the deaths of 3,5-year-old Malena, who according to the case file was murdered on April 13, 2019 in Aglaia Kyriakou who was hospitalized after successful treatment of lymphadenitis and of just six-month-old Irida, who the judicial authorities believe was murdered on May 21, 2021 in the room where she slept with Georgina, who was already a paraplegic.
The prosecutor's proposal comes after the closing of the investigation for the second case file that has been filed against the 34-year-old woman, who is already on trial for "committed and attempted murder" against the 9-year-old Georgina.
According to the prosecutor's proposal, Roula Pispirigou should be tried for the crime of first-degree murder for the deaths of the two younger girls.
At the same time, the public prosecutor asks the members of the judicial council to order the extension of the temporary detention of the woman, who is accused of killing all three of her children.
Pispirigou herself denies that it was her own hands that killed Malena and Iris, just as she also denies that she killed her first-born daughter.
The lawyer of 34-year-old Alexis Kougias has publicly expressed his client's position that the case is "the judicial error of the century", which is due to wrong assessments by medical examiners.
The decision of the Council on the impeachment or not of Roula Pispirigou is expected in the next period.
