The fire that has been raging since yesterday in the area of Amfissa is in remission as, taking advantage of the recession in the weather, the fire brigade managed to limit the destructive course of the front towards Sernikaki, but also the area of Prophet Ilias.
Since early morning, the Fire Department managed to contain the fire, which currently does not have an active front. Aerial vehicles have been flying since six in the morning to contain small outbreaks. At the same time, the fire front in the area, Korakia Kranidiu in Argolida, is not in progress.
63 firefighters are operating at the scene, with three groups of pedestrian departments and 18 vehicles, while the work of the fire brigade is supported by self-administration water vehicles. However, according to the special map issued by the Fire Department, the risk of fire is still very high today. For a very high risk of fire even today in Attica, Lesbos, Chios, Samos, Ikaria, Boeotia, Evia, Corinth, Argolis, Laconia, Ilia and Achaia, warns the g.g. Civil Protection.
