Applications for the granting of a state land use permit for agricultural purposes will be accepted until February 28, 2020, by the Department of Lands and Surveys.
In today's announcement, the Department of Lands and Surveys informs the farmers or other cultivators who cultivate state (Halitic) land for agricultural purposes, who have not been granted a license by the Government and who have applied for a subsidy from the Cyprus Agricultural Organization (Agro) that in order to be eligible for the subsidy, they must submit a relevant application for a license by the Council of Ministers to the Department of Lands and Surveys by 28.2.2020.
The Cadastral Department states that for those who do not respond within the specified date will inform the KOAP resulting in non-subsidization of farmers or others for crops within state land.
He states that the procedure as well as the relevant letter that was sent, result from a relevant decision of the Council of Ministers, after its unanimous acceptance by all involved (KOAP, Ministry of Interior, Agricultural Organizations) and adds that the right to subsidy will be valid until its final examination. application and will continue to have it only to those who will be granted the relevant license.
Finally, the Land Registry states that the applications that will be submitted will be examined according to the legal procedure and will be submitted for study and decision to the Council of Ministers, as soon as possible.
