A 62-year-old man has been arrested by Dezio police outside Milan for the murder (with a lethal dose of thallium) of his aunt, 88, his grandmother, 94, and his XNUMX-year-old grandfather.
Five other members of Del Giotto's family were also taken to hospital with symptoms of poisoning. According to the information so far, he had added thallium to a decoction drunk by all his victims. During his first interrogation, the young man told prosecutors that he "would never reveal to them what prompted him to commit the murders", but that they were "people who were not pure".
Matthias del Giotto's mother told reporters that her son had recently said he had left Christianity and that he believed he had joined a sect.
