With the hashtag # 2020VISION, the hip-hop music scene artist said it was important to "realize America's promise by believing in God, uniting our vision and building our future."
However, this is not the first time West has expressed political ambitions. In 2018, he had left open the possibility of running in the 2024 presidential election, while in 2015 he had pledged to "run" in the 2020 presidential race.
In fact, one of the first supporters of the popular singer was Elon Musk, head of Tesla and SpaceX.
In 2015, when he first announced his intention to run for president, Kanye West announced that his main concern was the "health industry".
He himself became particularly known for his support of President Donald Trump, defending the "Make America Great Again" slogan.
In an interview last January, he said he planned to vote for the current president in the upcoming elections, which are scheduled for November. In fact, in October 2019, the two men had a private meeting at the White House.
It is worth noting that if Kanye West finally nominates a candidate in the presidential election and manages to win them, he will become the third US president with a business background, after Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump.
