The Ufuk, designed as part of Turkey's MILGEM (National Ships) national program, will be able to travel continuously for 45 days in adverse climatic and marine conditions. The ship has a length of 99,5 meters, a maximum width of 14,4 meters, a displacement of 2.400 tons, a depth of 3,6 meters and a landing platform for a 10 ton helicopter.
According to Anadolu, the corvette will be the "eyes and ears" of Turkey in the seas.
