A kangaroo that exploded from its owner caused panic on the streets of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, before being "arrested" by the Police.
Curious animal affairs often occur in Florida, but they usually involve alligators and pythons rather than large marsupials. Fort Lauderdale residents alerted police after seeing Jack, a 2-year-old kangaroo, jumping happily in their hometown.
"Seriously, I know you're going to drive me crazy, but everyone stopped to see him and he was in danger of being dragged away (by cars). "And I would not want him killed," said a concerned citizen in a phone call to authorities. According to the video taken by the camera of one of the police officers who went to catch the "fugitive", he did not show any serious resistance.
After being surrounded by the police, who seemed to be having fun, they put a leash around his neck and carried him to the stable where the horses of the equestrian police are housed.
Authorities quickly found Jack's owner, Condon Masias, who admitted that the kangaroo lived in his house and was his dog καλύτε's best friend, Max. "They love each other, play and run together," he told the Sentinel Sun.
Florida's flora and fauna, however, did not have fun with the story: Masias, who was not legally required to keep an exotic animal in his home, faces up to 60 days in prison and a $ 500 fine.
