One by one, the more than 20 people who have been summoned by the prosecutors as the suspect for the deadly fire in Mati, started today to come to the prosecutor's office of the Court of First Instance and receive deadlines to be informed about the case and to study it.

The Mayor of Marathon, Elias Psinakis, received a deadline for November 7. According to one of the lawyers of the mayor of Marathon, Alexandros Lykourezos, at the moment no position can be expressed by his client, if the case file is not studied first.

The Mayor of Rafina-Pikermi, Evangelos Bournous, himself went to the prosecutor's office and received a deadline of November 2, in order to prepare his memorandum. In a statement, Mr. Bournous stated that he and the Municipality did what they had to do not only before the fire but also after it.

Mr. Bournous also said in his statement: "We stand by our fellow citizens and in justice to answer all the questions and assign responsibilities where they exist."

For her part, the governor Rena Dourou received a deadline for November 8 through her lawyer.

Among the persons who received a call from the prosecutors for illegal testimony, apart from Rena Dourou, Ilias Psinakis and Ev. Bournous and the former general secretary of Civil Protection Ioannis Kapakis, the former head of the Fire Service Sotiris Terzoudis, the former head of EL.AS. Konstantinos Tsouvalas, executives of the Civil Protection, the Hellenic Police, the Fire Service and the Coast Guard.

From their answers and the information that the suspects will submit to the prosecutors, their final criminal treatment will be judged, ie whether they will be charged with criminal prosecution against them or it will be judged that they do not bear any criminal responsibility for the tragedy.
