The oil well, according to the Turkish Oil Company, is located 32km east of the city of Nusaybin in Mardin and 3,5km from the border with Syria.
The Turkish Oil Company (TPAO) announced that 35 days of drilling work had been carried out to discover oil at a depth of 1310 meters in the Guniurdu-1 well, on the Turkish-Syrian border.
According to Turkish reports, the well is located 32km east of the city of Nusaybin in Mardin and 3,5km from the border with Syria.
Oil exploration work continues in the area with the opening of new wells.
"We discovered heavy oil with an API price of 11,8. "Turkey is strong in national energy!" wrote TPAO in a Twitter post.
