South African President Jacob Zuma has resigned, following a decision by South Africa's ruling National Congress (ANC) to oust him from the presidency.
In a 30-minute farewell address to the nation, 75-year-old Zuma said he disagreed with the way the ANC led him to resign early after the election of Cyril Ramafosa as party president in December.
