Here is the announcement of the Pancyprian Committee of Professional Beach Lifeguards:
"The lifeguards on Flamigo beach in the province of Larnaca responded to a new incident today, 23/07 and at around 07.55.
Specifically, the lifeguards of the Larnaca airport team were called to help a minor foreigner who lost consciousness in the sea.
The lifeguards entered the water, towed the minor to the mainland where they provided her with first aid and oxygen after she had absorbed a quantity of water.
Due to the seriousness of the incident, an ambulance was called for her immediate transfer to Larnaca General Hospital for further treatment ".
