The authorities were alerted on the evening of Thursday 25/01, after the escape of a prisoner who was being held in the detention cells of the Lakatamia Police Station.
According to the Police, under circumstances that are being investigated, the 28-year-old man managed to escape from the custody of the Lakatamia Police Station.
The 28-year-old removed some object and managed to reach the window of a nearby cell which was made of glass brick, resulting in his escape from there.
The police launched a manhunt to locate him but so far no arrest has been made.
