One of the suspects in the brutal murder of British George Low in Ayia Napa is threatening on social media the best friend of the young man, Ben Barker, who survived the attack.
It is recalled that the murder was committed on August 14, 2016 in Ayia Napa, by two Turks, one of Kurdish origin and the second Bulgarian, who escaped to the occupied territories after committing the crime. They are Sali Ahmet and Mehmet Akpinar. The Briton was just 22 years old when he was stabbed to death near a nightclub in Ayia Napa. His friend, Ben Barker, was seriously injured in the attack.
International and European arrest warrants have been issued against the two suspects in the murder, and despite their arrest in the occupied territories, they have never been extradited and remain at large. According to skynews, they appear to be in Turkey.
George Low's mother said: "It's scum. We have gone through all the emotions and what remains is anger. All I can say is that we will not stop fighting for justice for George. We will not see him again, nor his brothers, who live their lives as they would like. "
His father told skynews: "I want Turkey to extradite them and have them tried in Cyprus. If they are found guilty of going to jail, I hope for life they will not walk the streets again. "We have to live our lives without our son and they have to go to prison for life."
At the same time, the revelation of skynews has been causing a sensation for a year now, the young man's best friend has been receiving threatening messages from the murder suspect, Mehmet Akpinar.
In a message he wrote: "if I hold you in my arms I will c @@@. "Did you forget the knife I nailed you?" Ben replied: "I know you did not kill George but Sali Ahmet. "You just stabbed me." Akpinar replied, "I know."
George's father, however, has a different view on the sending of these threats. He believes that "Akpinar is trying to put all the responsibility on Sali Ahmet and acquit him. That's why he sends messages, to start a new life and leave it all behind ".
His mother said on the subject of the messages that "I do not understand. If he's so eager to say that, why not come and surrender and say, 'I was there but I did not kill George.'
