Accident and Emergency Department doctors and nurses were faced with an unprecedented event this morning.
A woman arrived at the First Aid by ambulance after having severe abdominal pain as she reported.
Upon her arrival at the TAEP, it was found that she was in labor and so she entered the birthing process, something unprecedented for the doctors who staff the specific department. The procedure was a complete success and mother and son are in excellent health.
As explained to us, the woman did not know that her pregnancy was at such an advanced stage.
The two were taken to Makarios Hospital for precautionary reasons.
