A 75-year-old former man from Limassol died yesterday afternoon, who was being treated at a medical center, after the attempted murder, which was committed against him on September 29, this year.

A case of attempted murder with a 75-year-old victim is being investigated by the Police, who proceeded to arrest a 39-year-old man.
According to the information under investigation, around 7.50 yesterday morning (29/9), while the 75-year-old was with the 72-year-old, outside their store in Limassol, he was attacked by a man, who punched him in the face. As a result, the 75-year-old lost consciousness and fell to the ground, while the perpetrator continued to hit him. The 72-year-old tried to stop the attack and was also attacked by the perpetrator, who then left the scene.
Members of the Police rushed to the scene and An ambulance crew transported the 75-year-old to the Limassol General Hospital, where it was found that he had serious head and body injuries. Due to the seriousness of his health condition, the 75-year-old was transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Nicosia, where he is being treated. According to the treating doctors, his health condition is critical.
The 72-year-old also went to the Limassol General Hospital, where he received treatment and was discharged.
The examinations carried out by members of the Police revealed evidence against the 39-year-old suspect. He was located on Wednesday afternoon, by members of the Limassol Police Department, who proceeded to arrest him with a court order, for the purpose of police investigations.
