Shortly before the expiration of the deadline given by the Politburo of DISY for submitting candidacies in view of Presidents, the President of the party announces his candidacy on the afternoon of December 22nd.
It is recalled that at the Politburo of the party on December 1 Averof Neophytos' proposal was unanimously approved, proposing that the candidacies be submitted by January 10 and in case there is more than one, the Supreme Council to vote for the nomination of the 2023 presidential candidate, on March 12.
