The President of DISY and candidate for President of the Republic, Averof Neofytou, expressed his full support for the efforts made by the Ministry of the Interior to manage the migration flows, in today's meeting with the Minister of the Interior, Nikos Nouris.
According to an announcement by the Ministry of the Interior, Mr. Neophytou was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs both about the actions to stop illegal crossings from the Green Line, and about the establishment of a Returns Office at the Administration of the Ministry with the aim of maximizing returns.
Mr. Nouris informed Mr. Neofytou of the necessity for Cyprus to immediately conclude readmission agreements with third countries, with him informing about the undertaking of specific initiatives in this direction, in the immediate future.
The Minister of the Interior warmly thanked the President of DISY for his interest, but also for his continuous support to the government's efforts to address this critical national issue.
