An increase in the percentage of positivity, in the number of patients with coronavirus, in public hospitals, but also in the number of cases has been observed in recent days.

In the last twenty-four hours, the positive rate was three parties zero six percent, the coronavirus patients in public hospitals were two hundred and thirty-five, twenty-four more than the day before yesterday, while three thousand eighty-three positive cases were identified. For the third day in a row, the number of cases exceeded three thousand.

Speaking to Trito, epidemiologist Michalis Voniatis expressed the assessment that the Omicron variant may, in the end, cause a more serious disease than originally estimated. However, he said, it hits the "wall of immunity" of those who have been vaccinated or have become ill.

Mr. Voniatis warned that people who are not vaccinated and have not been sick are very exposed to the virus.

Yesterday, seventy-five percent of those diagnosed with coronavirus had no history of vaccination.
