A bill to reduce the fuel excise tax is being presented to the Parliamentary Committee on Finance today, Thursday, in the form of an urgent one.
The bill is submitted by the Ministry of Finance, which asks the Parliament to approve the measure to reduce excise duties on fuel by 31 August. The purpose is for the bill to be examined and forwarded to the Plenary for voting today, after it received a legal inspection by the Legal Service.
It is recalled that this measure is included in the package of financial support announced by the Minister of Finance on May 27. The position of the parties is expected with undiminished interest, as the bill will be discussed 24 hours after the examination of the proposals of the opposition law (AKEL, DIKO, DIPA) for reduction of the excise tax on fuel, due to the wave of accuracy.
